Payment, Refund, and Withdrawal Policy:

Semester tuition is $250.  A non-refundable $75 deposit is due upon registration.  The remaining tuition balance ($175) is due at the first rehearsal of the semester, either in cash or check made payable to Rising Stars Productions.  A $50 discount is available for those who wish to pay for both the fall and spring semesters by September 24.

Concert Attire is an additional purchase that is the financial responsibility of the student. Information about costumes will be sent at the beginning of each semester.

A student who wishes to withdraw must do so before October 1 (fall semester) or March 3 (spring semester) to receive a tuition refund, minus the $75 deposit.  No refunds will be given after September 30 or March 2 for any reason.

Attendance Policy:

All students are required to attend each rehearsal and the semester concert(s).  Students will be allowed up to 2 excused absences per semester. If a student misses more than two rehearsals, his or her participation in the concert will be up to the director’s discretion.

All absences or late arrivals to rehearsal must be communicated to director Ellen Allen as soon as possible, either via email to risingstarsnorth@gmail.com or text to 978.895.2743.

Sickness:

If a student is contagiously or seriously ill, he or she should refrain from attending rehearsal.  If the student’s illness is mild and he or she is well enough to attend rehearsal, he or she MUST still attend, even if the illness prevents him or her from singing and/or dancing.  In this case, the student can observe the rehearsal or participate as fully as his or her condition allows.

Rehearsal Attire:

Students must wear dance shoes (black or tan jazz or character shoes) at every dance rehearsal.  Other traditional dance attire is not required at weekly rehearsals, but students should wear comfortable clothing so as to move easily.

Concert Attire

Concert attire information will be sent out early in the semester.  Each student is responsible for purchasing his or her own concert attire.

Musical Selections and Casting:

All musical, casting, and solo decisions will be made by the director and are final.  All efforts will be made to honor students’ solo requests, but please be aware that solos are never guaranteed.

Practicing and Sheet Music:

Students are required to review their music and choreography at home at least once during the week.  Practice tools (tracks and videos) will be provided for at-home practice.

If a student misplaces his or her sheet music, he or she must notify the director immediately.  The student is responsible for the cost of replacing lost sheet music.
