SERVING GREATER BOSTON, MIDDLESEX,
ESSEX, AND WORCESTER COUNTIES
*Auditions are for planning purposes only. All applicants will be accepted into the program.
Auditions are individual 12-minute appointments. Audition dates and times vary depending on location. Please select your preferred audition date when you REGISTER!
What to Prepare
Please prepare one verse and refrain of a Musical Theater song from memory. Selections from Disney, folk songs, church songs, etc. are also welcome. No pop or rock, please.
What to Bring
Please bring the sheet music for the piano accompanist, three-hole punched and in a hardcover binder. The music must be in the key in which you plan to sing. Please do not bring a karaoke track, or sing a capella (unaccompanied). Musicnotes.com and sheetmusicdirect.com are great resources for finding sheet music. Please ask us if you need any assistance finding music.
What to Expect
In the audition, we will do some short vocal exercises (vocalises) with you, and then hear you sing the piece you have prepared. We may also ask you a few questions based on your registration information. Our goal is to get to know you and your voice, and to have fun! Auditions can be nerve-wracking, but we hope to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for you. Hearing everyone ahead of time will allow us to choose the songs that will best showcase the talents of our cast.
